Former Phoenix Knights defenseman Griffin Ames has announced his commitment to play college hockey at Boise State University.  Ames played one season with the Knights, scoring eight goals to go with his ten assists in 51 games.  Prior to last season, the 6’3” defenseman played five years in the Arizona Hockey Union.

The former Knight will be teammates with a few other WSHL alumni at Boise State.  The Broncos’ ACHA Division-II team has announced commitments of former San Diego and Ontario goaltender Brody Cavataio, and former Idaho Jr. Steelheads Zach Biebuyck and Mitchell Hodges this offseason.

Ames will attend Boise State beginning in the fall, and will major in Business.
