DEDICATION / DETERMINATION / COMMITMENT

Karter Williams is a busy young man. This 16-year-old sophomore from Campo Verde H.S. keeps a schedule that would leave most begging for a break. An honor-roll student, an alternate captain on AHU 16U AA’s travel hockey team, and a member of both Campo Verde’s hockey and tennis teams.

But wait…there’s more. Karter is an accomplished musician. In 5th grade, Karter picked up the bass and hasn’t turned back. Karter is a member of Campo Verde’s School Orchestra as the principal bassist and earned “All Regional” and “All State” honors as “only” a freshman.

But wait…there’s STILL more. Karter is a member of the Phoenix Youth Symphony, whose members are exceptionally talented and dedicated young adult musicians selected through audition.

As a result of his dedication, determination, and commitment, Karter earned an invitation, alongside other Phoenix Youth Symphony members, to accompany and support Catalin Rotaru in an upcoming performance at the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts on November 6th. Catalin Rotaru is among the top-5 bass players on the planet. For those that only “speak hockey,” imagine being invited to play in a game with Connor McDavid!

Please join AHU in congratulating Karter on his accomplishments! This young man embodies the best of what AHU has to offer and serves as an inspiration to our athletes for his work on (and off) the ice.
