The Phoenix Knights are proud to announce Mike Bowman as the new Head Coach and General Manager.  Bowman comes to the Knights after spending two seasons as the Associate Coach and Assistant GM with the Casper Coyotes and Arizona Hawks.

Phoenix's new Head Coach says, "I'm very excited to work with the Arizona Hockey Union and bring the highest quality of junior hockey to the people of Gilbert and the greater-Phoenix area.  I believe that the roots of any hockey organization are key to long-term success, and the foundation already built by the AHU Knights youth organization and the Phoenix Knights junior program is a prime example of that.  The individual player and personal development that we want to establish will be at the forefront of what we do moving ahead."

Bowman has nearly 20 years of coaching experience, ranging from high school to college levels.  His experience is highlighted by his time behind the bench as the head coach of Penn State’s ACHA Division III team from 2003-09.  In 2008, Bowman was named College Hockey East Coach of the Year.

Mike Bowman replaces Chris Walker, who led the Knights to a 22-27-3 record in his one season as the team’s head coach.
